The new Quanzhou library was opened on December 27, 2019. With a total construction area of 48000 square meters, the new library has a designed collection capacity of 2 million books and 2000 reading seats. It introduces intelligent technologies and equipment such as self-service borrowing and returning machine, self-service card handling machine, 24-hour self-service book returning machine, book collection cabinet and reservation cabinet, and deploys intelligent bookshelves in clusters, which has greatly improved the intelligence and self-service.
