Shanghai Library  (Institute of Scientific and Technical  Information of Shanghai ) first launched cellphone scanning code borrowing service which supports general branch system.

Through cooperation with Shanghai RFID, the function of mobile phone scanning code borrowing was launched in August 2018. As of April 2019, 500,000 books and periodicals in the book lending room have been borrowed by mobile phone scanning. By the end of December 2019, nearly 50000 people had used mobile phone to scan and borrow books, accounting for about 15% of all the ordinary lending in the figure above.
